16.08.2025 How did we got here?
Well, you see, there's this cute little mobile game named Pocket Camp that came out around 2017, back then I had a shitty phone that didn't even had it on the playstore, but I wanted to play it so bad that when I got a decent phone one of the first things that I instantly installed was Pocket Camp, this was around 2019, and I've been playing since and, thankfully, archiving it on facebook.

Of course I would get bored of it here and there, since there's a point in which you have so many things and have played almost every event that there's not a lot of new things to catch your attention, but it was a game that I would always come back to, it was full of memories and lots of stuff that I colected from the years TuT
But, why do I speak about it in past sense?
Oooh I'm so dramatic!
Last year the Pocket Camp team gave us the bitter sweet news that Pocket Camp was going offline. At first I was really sad about the news, but they also gave have us the news that they were going to release the a new version; Pocket Camp Complete, which is basically the same game except for a few differences; it wasn't free anymore, which it's alright, and that it was offline, which meant that you wouldn't be able to visit your friends anymore, the whole social aspect was set aside, you can still have your friends on your game but they act more like npc's. It was okay to be honest, I will always miss sending gifts to my friends, visiting their campsites, helping them in events, see their favorite photos and all that stuff, but hey! At least Pocket Camp wasn't completely death as we first expected! It was still bitter sweet, like the end of an era, but it was fine.
Thankfully I got to buy the new version, and because of a lot of changes I was able to get tons of more things that I couldn't before! I was so exited TuT I'm a sucker for decorating little places on games -and in general to be honest- and that was what mostly kept me playing the game! Just re-doing everything again and again, trying new stuff and collect.

However, and sadly, the offline version doesn't save your data the same way the online version does, (well, duh!) and I learned that the hard way. I recently got a new phone, and even though I made a back-up before my last phone completely died, I later noticed that it only stays saved for around 7 days, and my last back-up longer than that.
Oh man, I was completely heartbroken about it, so many years of memories, so many things collected, so much stuff condensed on such a little place, now gone forever. I got so desperate that I even emailed nintendo support even tho deep down I knew there was no much to do. I think deep down I needed for them to tell me that it was definetely lost for me to accept it, and I did.
When I started a completely new game I had the idea of using my old campist card to kinda same my first "Milky", but when I saw it in-game it just, felt so nostalgic, that's when I finally cried about it, it might sound silly, but that's how things are. Crying for my old account kinda helped me to just move on, and so I did.
So now what?

I move on, and start all over again :'3
At first I felt like I wanted nothing to do with the game anymore, I wanted to give up, but when I finally accepted what happened I got this sudden motivation to do it all again; to collect, to built, to become friends with all of these cute villagers, and that's what I'm doing now!
As I said before, I thankfully got to archive a lot of my memories on my facebook account, but now that I have my site I started wondering; Why not make a journal about my new Pocket Camp journey over here? It could serve me as coding practice (since I'm doing this mostly from zero) and this is a place where I like to talk about things that I like, so that's what I'm planning to do! I plan to collect and build lots of things that I used to have back then and share them in the process, but anything new is also welcome! So, this is the rundown, you're free to check out my little pocket camp ramblings if you feel like it, if you do, let me introduce you to our little protagonist,
Milky!
<-- This pink-haired girl with a missing eye is
Milky! It was actually after her that I also started calling myself Milky online! She's my sweet little baby. I don't really now how she lost her eye, maybe we'll find out someday, all I know is that she kinda has a crush on Punchy! Tee-hee >:3
And that's really most of what I wanted to say on this little introduction, whatever I might have forgotten I'll just add later, don't really know how often I'll update this site! But as long as I have a little place to yap I'll do my best. As a farewell I'll leave some of my favorite screenshots from my first game. Here's for all the new memories!
