The Little Ansley

Maybe angels are supossed to suffer this bad on earth.

Sunkissed

Noelle Ansley, 13 to 16 years old.

Noelle Ansley never really met neither her father, Logan Clyde, or her mom, Jessica Clyde, as she died a little after her birth and he followed a few years after, dying in a car accident. Along with her older brother, Clyde Ansley, they stayed in the care of their step-mother, Colette. However, little after the accident that took Logan's life, something in Colette snapped and she ran away with Noelle, leaving the older Ansley behind.

Still with "her".

While still in care of Colette, she grow up being isolated from the world, made to believe that she was much fragile than she really is and not even allowed to assist school. Colette tried to make her as as possible to her and, since the kid didn't know better, she believed this to be a good and normal life, she never really questioned everything. To her this really was what life was all about.

Colette would force Noelle to use a wheelchair, never really telling her that she could actually walk. She would also shave her eyebrows and when people asked about her right eyelashes being black, she would just make it much bigger of a deal than it really was, often saying that it was a sign of her sickness and that she was partially blind from it. Noelle would only use long dresses and hair the same lenght as Colette.
They would also stay in the same house for a few months only to move to another and another, sometimes also staying at hotel rooms for extended periods of time, so Noelle never really had a sense of "home", to her, wherever her mom was was her home.

Despite Noelle being this ignorant about what life should be, Colette grow paranoic and was always scared that, once of age, Noelle would try to reclaim her independecy. This made her violent, aggresive and abusive towards her, which ended up in the exact opposite result she was looking for, as Noelle started to fear her and question what made her change in that way in the first time. So one day, after weeks of being paranoid, of believing that every single person they came across was agaisnt her, believing that everytime she didn't had her eyes on the little kid she would just try to call someone, Colette just snapped, even believing to have seen Noelle walking and also making fun of her. After a very much violent fight where Noelle didn't really understood what was even the problem to begin with, Colette would end up breaking both of Noelle's legs (even thought Noelle didn't even knew how to walk in the first place), attempted a double suicide and, after realizing what she had done and how Noelle cries and screams of begging her to stop was attracting a lot of attention, Colette finally took the decision to leave her and run away.

Police would arrive and find Noelle in the hotel room she and Colette were staying in, she was still asking for her mom. Colette, however, was found death a few miles away in her car. She had committed suicide.

After the rescue, the autorities began looking for any remaining family of an almost non-existent girl, wich ended up leading to her older brother, Clyde Ansley.

Coming back home.

Noelle's childhood was relatively "normal" until this point. After Colette snapped she had to overcome not only such a violent attack but the fact that she was robbed of her freedom and individuality, she had to learn this new normal life. Not only that, but she found it really difficult to believe that her mother was ever bad, as the last few moments that they shared, as aggressive as they were, Noelle really believed this to be her way to "reach heaven together", as Colette had said.

Noelle also struggled with being her own person, for many months she acted like a "ghost", it wasn't until Clyde really accepted that he had to take care of her that he started to help her. Showed her tv shows, music videos and japanese animations so she could start to grow her own interests. It worked, and through this she started to express more and more. First thing she ever did was to cut her own hair.

Meeting "him".

In an attempt to teach Noelle the basics to finally get her to school, Clyde remembered that one of his old friends, Theo, was also a tutor who was just starting to work with kids and overall young people. Theo never had to teach someome the very basics but he gave it a chance not only because it was about his friends sister, but because he already had his attention in her.

It was then that Theo and Noelle started talking online, Clyde asked him to pretend that he was someone around her age so she wouldn't feel ashamed but also so she could learn how to socialize (something that they were already helping her with, but any help was appreciated). Despite being pretty slow at the start, Theo and her connected and would find themselves talking even for things that were non-studies related, playing games online and watching shows togheter. This continued until Theo had to move out, and before leaving he told her that he was the one who talked to her online, and that he was really proud of much she had improved, wishing her look before saying goodbye.

From then on it wasn't long until Noelle really started to feel more in home and, even if still a bit shy and quiet, she started to behave like the kid she was intended to be, her family and friends also helped to walk little by little, to a point where she would want to go everywhere with Clyde even if she "walked funny". At this point Clyde understood that she was ready to attend school. Even if a bit scared at first.

School years!

School seemed to suit Noelle perfectly, even if she didn't had many friends. Many reached to her curious about her albinism but, seeing that Noelle wasn't that much the type of making conversation they quickly gave up, until she met Charlie. They both connected mainly because of their musical tastes and interest in japanese animation (fun fact: Both Noelle and Charlie older brothers are also friends who share the same interest, so their friendship kinda mirror eachothers).

Noelle also learned that she had a liking for studying, with the help of Charlie and Clyde it was almost as if she hadn't loosed any school years. Socializing wasn't the easiest but, at the same time, she felt that she had just the right people on her life. Why did her mother tried to hide all of this from her? And what would've been of her if she just didn't snapped? Even if her life felt normal to her back then she just couldn't change "this" for anything in the world.

Winter ends.

And he came back.
Back then she found out that this guy she talked to and the guy who came at the Ansley's hangouts were the same people, so this whole time she had a crush on the very same guy who she talked to almost every day, so, once he came back after a few years she didn't knew exactly what to feel. She was very ashamed, almost as if he even knew. He seemed the same as ever, just a little different in appaerance, but now that she was more of a open and playful girl he seemed to play along. Maybe this wasn't exactly a crush, maybe this was how having a father felt?

Clyde would often ask Theo to take care of her while him and Holly were busy with work, which made them even more closer. Noelle just saw him as another member of her family, she felt as if she knew him from her whole life, but, at the same time, she kept feeling like she really... Liked him. She really didn't even believed he would ever feel the same way about her since that seemed to be the normal thing; The adults don't fall for the kids, but she was oh so wrong.
She found herself really craving for his attention, everytime she shared something and he found it interesting she would feel pretty good about herself, everytime she call her cute or pretty she felt funny, calling him "Mr. Theo" and seing him smile as she said something out of place, using again and again the "Ohh, I lost count!" when he allowed her to count the moles on his skin. As she didn't had any experience with a father figure she didn't saw any difference between having a crush with him or feeling of him as a dad, they both felt the same to her.

But one day, at the top of the ferris wheel, surrounded by nothing but the blue sky, Theo leaned to kiss her, and that was when she learned that this was more than a crush, and this was, also, the beggining of the end.

Summer, a honeymoon roadtrip.

They relationship only got closer and more intimate from then on. Noelle understood that an adult falling for a kid was indeed not the normal thing.
Everyone else just saw it as just Noelle picking Theo as her father figure so it seemed like a positive situation. When by themselves, Noelle would always want to be really close to him, hug him, kiss him, and he didn't neglected a single thing.

It took a while before the situation got sexual, and when it did it quickly escalated. Calls that Noelle found embarassing, but exciting, photos that made her oh, so red, Theo teaching her how to touch just in the "right" places.

Noelle would frequently sneak Theo into her room when Clyde and Holly were asleep, but even then, Theo didn't felt safe to just have something more intimate with her, so they planned a trip, one to a beach that was a few hours away, as Noelle always talked about how much she wanted to one day see the sea with her own eyes. So they took off, with the excuse that Noelle would be taking a school trip. It felt very exciting to her, not only being "rebellious" for the first time, but also for being just by their own in a long trip, pretending to be a normal couple, just pretending to be normal with the guy she liked so very much, and even if her perception of "normal" had been wrong almost her whole life, this felt just... Right.

Once in the public eye in an unknown territory, they pretended that she was her step-daughter, Theo told this story about how "her mom died a while back and they go to take the same trip they did as a family to help her mourn", which worked, as it didn't raised many questions. Once in their own, they would act as a regular couple (as regular as it can get, anyways), that including the very intimate act. Noelle ended up losing her virginity on this trip, and, sometimes, she feels like she couldn't asked for anything else.

The honeymoon phase didn't ended with the roadtrip, but the guilt did started there.

Winter, long sleeves and the indifference.

Their relationship really seemed to change with every season and, as cliché as it sounds, it also started to go cold when winter came.

Despite him being as close than ever the rest of the summer, Theo started to grow distant of her when winter started, picking her up from school less and less and he wasn't seen at the Ansleys home as often as before. Noelle got into the girl scouts at this time, which helped her to be less sad about what seemed to be a definite break-up, but didn't saved her from seeing him with another woman, one more of her age. As she knew that no one was suppossed to know about her relationship with him she didn't had no one to talk about it, so she started to be a bit more quiet again, and almost everyone believed this to be because of her entering puberty. It wasn't like everyone was indifferent to her, but living in ignorance about the relationship there was just so much they could do. And they did help, if it wasn't for them she would've probably exploded and confronted him directly in a very chaotic way (which she sometimes wish she did).

She eventually realized that she had overcomed worse, and even thought this pain was very much real she had to overcome this break up too, she had everything on her side; her family was there for her, her new found friends from the girl scouts and her studies, so it didn't took that long for her to go back to her usual self.

Theo's new girlfriend was very much a sweet and friendly girl, so she couldn't grow to hate her. The woman would often buy her and Charlie her girl scouts cookies and candy, she would also be present in the girl scouts events, acompanied by Theo. This, somehow, also helped Noelle to keep moving, even if she missed Theo so much seeing him with someone gave her this sense of closure.

One that felt short-lived.

Slip

Both Theo and Noelle were in the wrong for believing that such a weird relationship would forever be in the dark, specially with how cocky Theo would be in their best days.

They were found almost by coincidence when, one day, Holly asked Noelle for her digital camera to use it in her baby shower. While making up for space, she crossed one of their photos together. Absolutely shocked about this, Holly looked into her computer for more, and she found it, which she quickly showed to Clyde.

Clyde was quick to violence, so finding out about such a thing between his sister and one of who he believed was his closests friends made him extremely aggresive. When Noelle finally came back home she found only Holly, seeing her cry made her fear the worst, and even if it was it just wasn't for what she believed. Holly told her about where Clyde was just when he was also coming back. Clyde asked about the whole thing as mad as before. Noelle, feeling as if the situation with his mother was repeating, started to panic. Clyde kept telling her about how he was going to go back to Theo's place to "finish the job or send him to jail", which only worsened Noelle's situation. While getting away in her bycicle she got in an accident which ended up in a broken wrist. Clyde terrified by this, leaved the whole Theo theme aside to take care of her.

Catharsis

Noelle tried to gain time for both her and Theo to talk. She kept telling Clyde and Holly that she needed to think about the whole thing, asked them to delete the photos and don't show them to anyone, as she felt really ashamed about it. They both accepted, but also tried to make Noelle understand that Theo took advantage of her and, once she got what he wanted, he just moved on. Noelle believed this before, but she wanted to hear it from him. She said that she wasn't going to decide if she wanted to take this matter into legal action until they allowed her to talk to him. They, obviously, refused.

So, one night, with the excuse that she was going to have a sleepover with the girl scouts to clear her mind, Noelle went to Theo's home. There she found him all bruised up, a little bit drunk (and still drinking), but, at the same time, it felt as if he was the same as ever.

Noelle took this opportunity to finally ask him about everything; why did he leave, why did he got with someone else, how did he managed to just move on. Was everything they told her about him true? Was he after one thing, and one thing only? If so, how did he faked something that felt so genuine? Was she naive for believing all of this?
Theo finally told her the true; He felt guilty. At the start he didn't cared about how much he took of her and her innocence, but after the roadtrip, after everytime they got intimate in her room, in his car or in his room he felt guilty, and guilt started to overtake the pleasure. This wasn't supposed to be the kind of "romance" Noelle was supposed to be experiencing, she was suppossed to be with someone as unexperienced and akward as her, just learning at the same time, and he was taking that away from her. He knew that just breaking-up with her wouldn't be enough because they would still be looking for each other, and in this moment when they both were alone again they knew that this was very much true.

Noelle, in return, told him how many things felt wrong now, that she was mad about everything he pointed out, about how he was her first everything and she was not going to get anything back, but at the same time she couldn't just hate him, and she knew that if she could do it all again she would do so. That she was there to tell him to his face that she was going to the police that, once in front of him, she didn't knew what to do anymore.

So, despite having everything against them, and despite Noelle being in the same tune as him about the whole situation, they just couldn't help themselves, as much as they tried.

Trivia

✦ Noelle was a oc created for a certain ship, however, when that didn't work out I distanced myself from her for a while. When I picked her up again she got me this weird sense of comfort, one that I think it's pretty obvious that has stayed with me since lol. She's currently my main oc and her story is still a work in progress, so you'll probably see things change over here. When I picked her up I really wanted to give her a ship so Theo was born, the story changed a bit since the moment I created him to now but the overall "plot" is kinda the same.

✦ As I said above, her story is still a work in progress, and that also includes the ending. I don't feel comfortable giving Sunkissed an ending, even tho it should end right there, at a teen Noelle confronting Theo, but I just can't, just as much as they can't stop getting with each other lol.
✦ One day I'll probably like to make a comic about her, but I know we are pretty distant from that so I just write whatever I can.

✦ Noelle's mayor inspiration is Cracky-chan, her story is atemporal but really inspired in the 2000's and early internet era mixed a bit with the current times. Even if she's still a pretty happy girl she's like a really tragic character still, just in not a super dramatic way? idk lol
I'm not the type to be like "WOW I REALLY LOVE TO MAKE MY OC SUFFER!" I just know that she was always the kind of girl to never have a normal life.

✦ These days I explore more the theme of the grooming with her but I think it's pretty obvious that she suffered Munchausen by Proxy by her mother.

✦ I also love to explore the theme of lovers coming back to each other no matter how much time passes. A recurrent theme that you'll probably notice in my stories (and ships in special) is of seasons; Noelle and Theo are really related to summer, hence the name. Julian and Amanda are the opposite, for example.

✦ Noelle's voiceclaim is probably Mia Goth, she doesn't have a faceclaim, closest is probably Cracky-chain but only because of association.
